THIS SEASON'S DEEP DIVE: ‘The Grade of a Leaf’

This season we follow a single thread through the world of Junmei black tea — the grade of the leaf. You will no longer simply say "this one tastes richer"; instead you will clearly taste how the picking standard, from a single tender bud to a full multi-leaf shoot, quietly rewrites the cup: the bud gives elegance and sweetness, while the leaf brings body, depth, and a bolder aroma.
Junmei black tea is defined by its bud-and-leaf ratio. At Zhengshantang the same craft meets an entire spectrum of grades — single bud, one-bud-one-leaf, one-bud-two-or-three-leaves, many-buds-many-leaves, and pure leaf — each a different voice of the same mountain. This box is a guided tasting of that spectrum

The picture shows fresh tea leaves plucked in early spring, tender new buds.

This Season's Curated Selection:
We've arranged ten single-serving samples into a "staircase" by plucking grade — from the tender single bud up to the bold pure leaf — and added two full-size 50g packs so your favorites can stay in your cup across the whole season: China Red Black Tea in a 50g tin and Moca Black Tea in a 50g bag, a combined 100g for everyday brewing.
Thoughtfully Designed to Last Two Months:
The two 50g packs — China Red in a 50g tin and Moca in a 50g bag, together a full 100g — are sized for daily brewing across the whole two-month cycle, revealing new layers with each re-steep. The ten sample sachets invite you to explore one grade at a time, while the two white-tea sachets offer a light, soothing counterpoint for winter evenings. Together they form a steady, two-month rhythm of discovery — a different leaf, the same quiet pleasure.
