WU YI SHAN TEA TOUR

Wuyi Mountain is the cradle of world tea culture
Wuyi Mountain, located in the secret place of southeast China, is listed as a world cultural and natural heritage site by UNESCO. Wuyi Mountain is known as "natural oxygen bar", "bird paradise", "snake kingdom", "insect world", "key to open the gene bank of species", etc. It has unique Danxia landform landscape and rich historical and cultural heritage.
This is the birthplace of the world's black tea and rock tea, especially the high-end black tea representative "Jin Jun Mei", the originator of the world's black tea "Lapsang Souchong", and the rock-bone floral fragrance "Da Hong Pao" are famous all over the world. Stroll in the misty tea garden, take the Wuyi Mountain spring water, taste a cup of oriental charm, and immerse your body and mind in the thousand-year-old tea fragrance and landscape poetry and painting.

DAY1
▍Come to the hometown of tea and meet
The first day's itinerary is easy and simple. You can arrive at Wuyi Mountain according to your own itinerary. Communicate the time with us in advance and we will arrange a pick-up at the airport.
In the evening, we will enjoy the local food together to open up our feelings about the city and welcome the next journey with a relaxed mind and body.

DAY2
▍Explore the origin of black tea and taste a cup of Wuyi tea
Tongmuguan, the core area of Wuyishan National Park, is the birthplace of Lapsang Souchong and Jinjunmei. It has the characteristics of low temperature, high precipitation, high humidity, long foggy days, etc., and is a paradise for tea trees.
On the second day, we visited the Tongmuguan Checkpoint, the Black Tea Museum of the Zhengshantang Factory, and the production workshop (Qinglou) of the traditional Zhengshan Xiaozhong, to learn about the origin and spread of the world's black tea and listen to the past and present of Zhengshan Xiaozhong.
At noon, a table of rich Tongmu specialty dishes will awaken your taste buds. After lunch, we can go to the teahouse of Zhengshantang, which is located by the mountain and the water, to sip tea and chat together, relieve the fatigue of the journey, and feel the beauty of Zhengshantang black tea brewed by local mountain spring water and professional tea art teachers.

▍
Moon Bay is a small dam leading to Tongmu Village in Wuyi Mountain. It is named because it looks like a crescent when viewed from above. The Moon Bay Observation Deck in Hongxing Village, Wuyi Mountain is a popular local attraction. It is surrounded by mountains and forests, and there is a riverside driveway next to it, which is very suitable for checking in and taking photos.
If you are lucky, you might even spot some macaques monkey playing along the way.

DAY3
▍Fantastic mountain and water drifting, unlocking the rock charm gene
On the morning of the third day, we took a bamboo raft on the Jiuqu River, a characteristic of Wuyi Mountain. The Jiuqu River connects the 36 peaks, 72 caves, and 99 rocks of Wuyi Mountain, and each bend corresponds to ancient cliff inscriptions and legends. During the 1.5-hour, 9.5-kilometer rafting, we listened to the rhythm of the boatman's oars hitting the rocks, saw the "thousand-year-old gaze" between the Yunv Peak and the Dawang Peak, the amazing cliff burials of hanging coffins, and the original cliff carvings by famous artists such as Zhu Xi and Lu You. It can be said that "look up to see the strange peaks, look down to appreciate the water, listen to the streams, and reach out to touch the blue waves." This road is intertwined with peaks and rocks, and the streams are crisscrossed. Each bend has a different view, and each place is full of surprises. Enjoy the beautiful Wuyi Mountain scenery, which is endlessly interesting.

▍
In the afternoon, we will go to the Tianxin Yongle Zen Temple deep in Jiulongke. This ancient temple, first built in the Zhenyuan period of the Tang Dynasty (801), is the "heart of tea and Zen" of Wuyi Mountain World Cultural Heritage. In the 17th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (1419), the Zen temple was named "Tianxin Yongle Zen Temple" by Emperor Yongle for offering tea, which established the supreme status of Wuyi tea. Later, "Dahongpao" gradually became a synonym for Wuyi tea and became famous all over the world. Tianxin Yongle Zen Temple has since been honored as the "ancestral home of Dahongpao".

▍
When you come to the core production area of Wuyi rock tea, "Three Pit and Two Streams", where the cliffs on both sides are over 100 meters high, forming a unique "pit and stream microclimate", you will know that the perfect combination of Danxia rock layers and weathered gravel soil can give birth to the iconic spicy flavor and floral and fruity aroma.
The six ancient tea trees on the cliffs of Jiulongke are over 360 years old and still hang on the 60-meter cliffs. On the rock wall are the "Dahongpao" made by the monks of Tianxin Temple. In 1998, 20 grams of mother tree tea were auctioned for 156,800 yuan, setting a record in the history of Chinese agricultural auctions. Since 2006, the tea harvesting has been permanently banned, and only 986 grams of mother tree tea remain.
DAY4
▍Visit the Sage University and experience the fusion of nature and humanity
After having a Wuyi-style breakfast, we headed to Tianyou Peak, the "No. 1 Observation Deck in Wuyi". If the weather is right, after climbing up the 848 steep steps, you will see the Jiuqu River, where we drifted yesterday, winding among the mountains, like a landscape painting. The sea of clouds floating around makes you feel like you are in a fairyland, wandering in the heavenly palace.

▍
In the evening, visit Wuyi Jingshe, which is located at the foot of Yinping Peak and the bank of Jiuqu River in Pinglindu. It was built in the 10th year of Chunxi in the Song Dynasty (1183) and was the place where Zhu Xi wrote books and lectured. In ancient times, it was equivalent to "Tsinghua University and Peking University" and was the holy place that all students dreamed of. The academy is a family temple-style house with a mixed structure of bricks, tiles and wood. People call it "the grand view of Wuyi".

▍
In the afternoon, we will go to the headquarters of Zhengshantang Yanyu, where we can see Dawang Peak and Manting Peak in the distance, and the confluence of Jiuqu Creek and Chongyang Creek up close. We slowly drank a cup of Wuyi rock tea, felt the unique tea flavor and charm of Wuyi Mountain, and learned professional knowledge on rock tea tasting. Finally, today ends with a hearty live performance of the beautiful Wuyi Mountain landscape - Impression Dahongpao, where you can experience the rich culture of Wuyi Mountain through your vision, hearing and taste.

DAY5
▍Back home
After lunch, we will send everyone to the station/airport and return home, ending this Wuyi tea tour.
Wuyi Mountain is not just a place name, but also a holy land of tea culture. Here, you can get away from the hustle and bustle, immerse yourself in the fragrance of tea, and talk to tea and history. Come to Wuyi Mountain and start a tea culture experience journey that belongs to you, let the fragrance of tea penetrate your heart, and leave an unforgettable memory.
