THIS SEASON'S DEEP DIVE: ‘The Myriad Flavors of Lapsang Souchong’

This season, we're taking you on an unprecedented deep dive into Lapsang Souchong. You will no longer vaguely know that "Lapsang Souchong is smoky," but will be able to clearly discern the world of difference brought by different processes and grades.
Lapsang Souchong, the originator of black tea, was born in Wuyi Mountain around 1568. Due to the humidity and lack of sunshine in Tongmuguan area, local tea makers began using pine wood to smoke and dry the tea leaves.Over centuries, tastes and technologies evolved, leading to modern Lapsang Souchong with lighter smoke and more prominent floral, fruity, and honey notes.

As an enterprise dedicated to preserving heritage, Zhengshantang continues to produce traditionally pine-smoked Lapsang Souchong. This ensures the original craft is not lost, allowing tea drinkers today to experience the authentic taste from centuries ago.
This Season's Curated Selection:
We have carefully structured a tasting journey from traditional to modern, from heavily smoked to unsmoked, including 5 representative Lapsang Souchong samples ,1 full tin of Taoyuan ChiGan Peach Sweet Black Tea, 1 full pouch of Strong Pine Smoked Traditional Souchong Black Tea and 1 full pouch of Lapsang Souchong tea powder, to help you thoroughly understand Lapsang Souchong.
Thoughtfully Designed to Last Two Months:
the loose-leaf teas provide a day's worth of sips from a single serving, perfect for steeping multiple times throughout your day, while the 20 tea sticks offer instant convenience. Together, they create a curated experience that naturally fits a two-month rhythm of exploration and enjoyment.
